The reason my blog has been neglected...

So, in the last few weeks Dana and I have been trying to get as many crafty things done as possible to sell at a VCC (Vicenza Community Club) luncheon this month. Every spare moment has been spent making cards, or using Mod Podge to "alter" and embellish many things. Katie gave us the ideas for the journals, and we looked around for other ideas. Since I totally forgot to take pictures of the items before we got started selling (which I could just kick myself for) I don't have pictures of everything, just some of it. I thought I would share some of our creativity. We had a lot of fun making it all, but I think we both got sick of using Mod Podge!! By the way, we did pretty well, we were both pleased and hope to do it again in a couple of months.

This is one of my favorite journals.

I love this lunchbox, Sydney keeps begging me for it.

These are cute little purses, the girls want these also...

I have more pictures, but they are on Dana's camera, I will post them when she sends them to me.

La Befana

The night before the Epiphany, La Befana visits and leaves prizes for all of the little Italian children. We went out to dinner that night with friends, and La Befana visited the children at the resturant. Being that she is a witch, she was a little scary looking, Ellie probably would have freaked out if she had been there.

Here is a picture of the candy coal and nuts La Befana left at our table.

Did I say I was going to miss the pizza in Italy? This one looks interesting! I believe on this pizza there is... pepperoni, mushrooms, prosciutto, french fries and hot dogs, yum-o!(Thanks Lexie and Nancy for the pictures!)

Our Snow Friend

We woke up to a few inches of snow yesterday morning! I know it's not much to you Utahns, but we will take what we can get. Last year we didn't get one single snowflake, so the kids are excited to get a few inches here and there! Noah built a little snow friend, who melted today in the rain. Hopefully we have more snow coming this winter!

Here We Go!

I think it's about time for us to have a blog. We will be moving back to the states before long, and blogs are a great way to keep in touch with friends. Many of my friends have blogs, and I love checking them often, so we'll give it a go. I will probably be getting started slowly, so bear with me!
